Ever wonder why natural therapies fail?
Tim & I have known several people who tried natural therapies that seemed to fail. So, we’ve asked this question ourselves.
Here’s what we’ve learned over our journey and witnessed through those we’ve known and loved:
- Not picking the right plan to begin with. Just because it is popular on Social Media does not mean it is the best choice for you. Just because it is what worked for me does not mean it is the best plan for you.
- Waiting until it is too late to begin using alternative treatments. Too many times natural therapies are chosen as a last ditch effort after conventional therapies have failed. As a Naturopathic Health Coach Practitioner, most people come to me wanting an Emergency Room Fix. Disease takes time to be recognized; healing take time too.
- Failure to stick with one treatment plan
- Not following a treatment plan completely/properly.
- Discontinuing a treatment prematurely
- Not having a supportive community to encourage you and assist you with treatment protocols, food prep and other necessary tasks. I’ve known people who had various family and community members come for a couple of hours to “help”, but had no real training or understanding of what it takes to heal naturally. It takes 110% commitment and effort from EVERYONE to heal naturally. Just visiting the diagnosed person for a couple of days while they are at a treatment facility is not enough to REALLY understand what it takes and the importance of each task.
- Having a Magic Pill Mentality expecting healing to happen quickly and without effort. Dis-ease and Healing are not ‘things’, they are a Process.
- Having a One-Size-Fits-All mindset. Many therapies being discussed on social media platforms may be helpful for certain health conditions. BUT, NOT ALL CANCERS ARE PARACITES or other popularly discussed causes. Some of those treatments can be very deadly for certain people. That’s why, as a Naturopathic Health Coach Practitioner, I do a full holistic history with my clients in order to find the ROOT CAUSE of their dis-ease. Environment, medical history, trauma history and more are involved in many dis-eases.
- Not listening to your body. Discomfort and dis-ease are our body’s way of telling us something isn’t the way it should be. Even the condition of our teeth are signals of the health of our organs.
- Unresolved emotional trauma. The Body Keeps the Score! Those traumas turn into dis-eases; they cannot be swept under a rug. It’s like using a credit card…. the balance needs to be paid off and not ignored. Or needing an oil change in your automobile but ignoring it for a year… ever been there? We have; it wasn’t pretty and required a new engine, which we paid a pretty penny for.
